Acumen reagents are the first to bring PCR technology to the farm, providing dairy producers greater accuracy and speed when it comes to testing protocols. The unique technology works best when implemented as part of a structured surveillance protocol that gives operators key insights into critical herd health information, allowing much quicker and more informed management decisions. Our standard protocol can be customized to fit your needs.

Acumen protocol steps

  1. Sample milk from fresh cows between 4-10 days of milk
  2. Can test individual quarters or individual cows
  3. Can test pooled samples from up to five cows
  4. View results in three hours. Document results in DC305 cow record or similar
  5. Determine action steps, discuss plan with your veterinarian or milk quality expert
  6. Execute plan
  7. Repeat
